Beginnings
Successory Nigeria Limited (SNL) was established in 2001 as a flagship company of the Global Knowledge Group. SNL has evolved over the years into a thought-leader in Africa’s Development & Agricultural Finance sectors. It has also been doing extensive work on developing and implementing initiatives for international and multilateral agencies such as the UNDP, ILO, FAO, AfDB, IFAD, etc. SNL has also promoted financial inclusion by carrying out farmers registration and on-boarding for NIRSAL Plc.
SNL commenced as a single business with a capacity-development focus. It has since changed into a giant with a large number of affiliates that operate in many industry sectors. From a team of one, SNL today employs over 240 individuals across a range of disciplines. A significant portion of these employees are outsourced to various client locations through SNL’s outsourcing activities, even though some of them work in their corporate head office. SNL has grown to be a significant player in the operations for capturing and managing identification and geospatial data. The Man behind the organization:
Dr. Steve Olusegun OGIDAN, (mni) is a trainer, strategist, and expert in agriculture and development finance who belongs to Nigeria’s prominent National Institute. Institutional development, corporate strategy, value chain, rural development, and microfinance are among his primary specialties.
He was the Team Leader for unprecedented three terms (1st, 2nd and 3rd) FGN/IFAD-RUFIN Supervision Missions for Nigeria between 2010 and 2013. He was a consultant to the UNDP and the Central Bank of Nigeria on Microfinance Development Strategy.
Dr. Ogidan has been certified to deliver the Youth-Inclusive Financial Services, YFS another product to deepen the outreach of Microfinance in developing world. He served as a Local Service Support LSS Provider and Trainer for the German Donor Agency, Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst and Bread for the World.
In addition to serving as the chairman of Global Knowledge Group and the MD/CEO of Successory Nigeria Ltd, Dr. Ogidan chairs the board of directors of a microfinance bank and offers management support to numerous microfinance banks and businesses in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, South Africa, Liberia, the Gambia, and the Royal Kingdom of Morocco. Additionally, he holds the titles of Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Administration, Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration, Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, and Fellow of the Microfinance Association of the United Kingdom. He strives arduously to realize his dreams as a dreamer.
