German Swiss International School is deeply articulate, creative, outward-looking young people with an impressively strong set of academic results. The school have confident students in both the German International and English International streams.

GSIS is a multi-language school operating two parallel streams and teaching two curriculums, from Kindergarten to Secondary School and prepares for the German International Abitur (GIA) and the International Baccalaureate (IB), following IGCSE examinations in Year 11. The school approaches learning and teaching in the spirit of the GIA and the IB, whilst appreciating that academic learning is important in both streams but not the only measure of success. It also offers rigorous academic study alongside a commitment to pastoral care to prepare the students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century with a realistic understanding of the world around them.

 Education is an exciting process, organic and ongoing with each student needing to be prepared to give of their own talents and to value those of others. GSIS is an inclusive learning community in which children and adults together are committed to, and inspired by, a love of learning, as well as caring deeply about the world around them and ahead of them by exploring all the possibilities. The faculty staff motivates the students to go beyond their academic comfort zones and encourage them to embrace academic rigour. The administration team comes from diverse backgrounds with varying skill sets and their dedication to the school allows teachers to focus on students’ learning and development.

At GSIS, every student is valued for who they are and what they contribute to the school, as well as the wider world. The school solely run onto the values which not only support the personal and social development of every student, but also the community. Its strategic Plan identified which values are important and have recently displayed these around the school campuses.
